The Prophets-- Champions of Truth's Investigation
The Prophets spoke rebellion against untruth and practices of harm. They were the biggest radicals and rebels of Their times.
It is for this that They were persecuted, rejected and ridiculed.

The great and kindly souls were seen as rabble- rousers because of Their amazing and uplifting teachings, challenging the very order of the day. |

They gave their lives for their loving causes. The clergy laid out their doom for nothing less, being fearful of the unity and growing power of the masses who flocked to Those great Beings for guidance, truth, and clear standards of justice, virtue and moral living.

The Prophets may have been the finest, truest souls and
rebels who have ever walked on earth!

Prophets, Blind Faith and Reawakening
The Prophets call us to have faith, but the idea of blind faith is a misnomer of religious leaders who reap the benefits of a docile populace. There are many instances in which the Prophets, from Jesus to Moses and beyond, invited research by honest seekers, and encouraged them to keep on searching.*
And of course the Prophets themselves were known as rebels and persecuted for it. *

Super-Human Beings
The Prophets of the ages, it is said, were "superhuman souls", "spiritual genuises" you might say, with teachings for humanity far, far wiser than anything previously understood. They were "Divine Physicians", each bringing a "prescription” for their time. That remedy is supposed to be much greater than any man-made cure, to heal the ills of the age in which Those great Beings lived and offer personal, spiritual and social guidance for a future age.

Ultimate and Boundless Love
Much of what the Prophets said is lost to us and to modern understanding. In a cruel and barbaric past, the Prophets spoke and acted in the only way the people could understand and listen to. And parts of it are not what we would want to hear today. Yet all the holy books share teachings of Spirit's extreme and kindly love for us, far outweighing some ancient, heavy passages that often are quite rightfully directed to the hurtful and abusers.*
Blind faith is not encouraged in the Bible. * Jesus' disciple John, in fact, frequently described the Christ as offering evidence in miracles, acts and power to demonstrate his Deity.

The Prophets were great instigators of history's great transformations. In order to investigate into those teachings and open to that possibility, I had to become even more of a rebel and a thinker than many of my more rebellious friends!
"If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into the ditch."
