     The heart's connection with Spirit is essential to us.
  Yet its been thwarted by sore misunderstanding, misuses and abuses of religion from the past and present. The hurts we feel affect the bonding and community once nurtured by the faiths.  Our loss is sore, our wounds are dire and deeply grained within the memory of the body, mind and soul of a hurting human race. 
     There's wisdom in new thought beyond religion, for there are wrongs that must be healed.  There are also remedies of hope to keep vital soulful values of the heart alive and well. We need a way to spiritual wellness, to reclaim the right to spiritual community, virtue, faith and sharing and to build a kindly, caring, peaceful world.                 God-Rebel Link Why Heal? 

Remedies to heal religion’s harms--

   * For the Body of humanity--
    Unity and an end to war & religious competition is a vital remedy. Oneness  is a theme of all religions, now being re -awakened. God is not in competition with Itself; the human soul and body cannot truly support injustice, cruelty or harm. Religion’s confusion and abuse has caused disunity, but in history out of the over 1700 known wars only 123 actually involved religion -- less than 7 %  of all wars, 2% of all casualties in war.                                            * myth to be debunked   Source--Encyclopedia of Wars 

   * For the Mind:  A remedy is in the call to truth- seeking, and an end to blind faith,  superstition and imitation of tradition. These are man- made misunderstandings.  A new respect for independent thought is now awakened, even within many of the faiths.
 
 * For Spirit:  there are remedies in a healthy, kind morality of Good, freed from toxic shame and fear. These are coming into practice in new, re-visioned spiritual pathways.    
    Religion's purpose has been to support "an ever- advancing civilization,"* that humanity may flourish, but some faiths have become more rigid and  dogmatic than spiritual or have fallen into selfish and deluded hands.
         Healing  in these areas is supported in some spiritual paths today in a broader understanding of Spirit's oneness and the unity of God. That one truth alone clears up much confusion and explains much of what's gone wrong in religion across the ages. 
   Today there are faiths with teachings and traditions that forbid violence and call for unity while endorsing  science, independent thought and healthy, restorative concepts of morality.
