Values for a Better World
Remember the story about the man who died and ended up in purgatory? He and all the people there had no hands or arms. They couldn't feed themselves or anything, and it was a hellish place for them to be. But then, given a glimpse of Heaven, the man was amazed to see that all the people there had the exact same physical problem. But there was one thing different because the people there were feeding and caring for each other instead of fighting and scrabbling for themselves.
We are Spirit,
Our hearts crave for ways of virtue.
We crave connection with beauty and Something Greater.
But people have to know they even want that,
and that can only come by realizing the needs of our true soul, of who we really are inside.

Truly we are social beings, desiring connection for our very happiness. No one can be truly happy in a world of dog- eat- dog, A world of trust and trustworthiness, is heavenly and heaven-sent, for love and kindness fill our souls and make our hardships bearable.
Virtue, trust and love are joy. Such sweet values make for paradise.

Virtue and Happiness
In scientific studies, virtue is found to be highly connected to happiness. When we share with others, when we practice virtue, it makes us happy! We are social beings and this connection is also linked to our survival as a species. The loss of this innate knowing, this human receptivity to doing good has caused world suffering and pain.
The better world ahead starts within our hearts, seeing who we truly are. Living in the joy of honoring the goodly virtues and the needs of soul helps create a loving world, upraising spirit and its values. A new creation, a new humanity, can begin inside each one of us and all of us can be a part of that creation.
