The word sin is suspect. For many it is loaded with negative connotations, guilt and shame due to heavy notions humans have added to it. The word actually means separation from god, truth, Spirit, Love, the Good or whatever you may call it, whatever you feel could be "Something Bigger" than our own humanity...
Adversity has benefits, actually--
It helps us Build Foundations for our Best Life
Used for our best good, it brings deeper self- knowing & authenticity-- prized and precious to so many.
Hard times bring us face- to – face with our weaknesses, our preciousness and our strengths. These challenges, when we turn to the Good, can help us to re-assess the basis of life, to grow in capacity, to become stronger, happier, freer and far more compassionate.
When we look at adversity with kind, accepting eyes, our whole attitude is changed-- and guess what? We become more comfortable with it. And our ability to react sanely, flexibly and with wisdom expands.
“One who fears adversity shall suffer fear.”
