GRATITUDE-- You may want to practice good attitudes, listing things for which you're grateful in your life.
Daily, make a point to notice life's small pleasures and savor them.
"If you are looking for something to complain about, you are absolutely certain to find it," says Gregg Easterbrook,
And-- If you look for something to be happy about, you will also find it!
FORGIVENESS-- forgive your enemies, or at least beging dealing withand dialing back anger towards those who thwart your goals.
THOUGHTS-- Practice positive thinking or the negative will beat you to your brain and take you down. Seek support and positive friends that don’t support endless complaints without some healthy processing or resolution.
HOME & HEART--put time and energy into friendships and family. The happiest people have strong friendships, says says, Ed Diener, a psychologist University of Illinois.
SELF CARE-- Doing what makes us happy, for even 10 minutes a day, nurtures us and makes us feel worthwhile as well as happier. Self care, for me, means putting myself in a place that allows for love and Spirit to enter.
SERVICE-- Do you know that virtue and altruism makes us happy!
Happier, in fact, than many people know! Practice helping others within reason and random acts of kindness.
As for Happiness-- Often we know what we should do for it--but sometimes we just don’t do it.
Yet, when you think of the alternative of feeling crappy, you may just decide to do the better thing, of turning to a better attitude and feeling better too!
