Faith Inspiration: The "Spirit of the Age"
The inspiration for these pages are in ideals originally put together in the 1800's as taught by Baha'u'llah, Prophet- Founder of the Baha'i Faith. Today they form a large part of the inspiration and teachings of many contemporary faiths, sciences and peoples of our time.
Such "spirit of the age" calls to many souls and now calls all humanity to engage in bringing forth these most urgent, vital values.
For the Healing of our World -- Some Baha'i Principles
|
Many Paths in Oneness
This site celebrates the oneness of the many paths of Soul. In the faith of the Baha'i unity is a foremost purpose along with spirituality and truth's investigation. Yet, according to that calling and in caring for the tender souls, no faith or name can be raised above another. No matter what what path you or I may hold most dear, whether we hitch our star to any faith or none at all, we and the Baha'is as well make a point of holding out a welcome for all ways. Spirituality in its broader defintion, as in love and human caring, is for all of us.
Rebellion against religion's ways brought me to seek out alternatives in spiritual paths, leading me to the Baha'i with its emphasis on unity, peace and humane justice. My need and my discomfort with the religions I had known kept me coming to what seemed a new and gentle way with great possibilities for all humanity. I continued to further my investigation ,and in the end I was to learn much of what is in these pages.

Spiritual Remedies of the Faith include...
Remedies that are healing for all religions, such as-- No Preaching, No Preachers, no proselytizing & More To love and guard the tender souls too often hurt by wrongs of well- meant faith and restrictive judgments and yet respect faith's inspiration calls for no coercion, rather, kindly, careful caring. To coerce, to try to convert or proselytize among the people are not the way of Spirit. Indeed, the Baha'i especially will have no preaching, no clergy and no preachers.* More remedies for religion's ways were gleaned from the Baha'i and are also found within this website. |
Many faiths are concerned with the uplifting of humanity.
Often they mean well but when they come from "superior"- type positions they push the people far from Spirit rather than encouraging the good and kindly values. __________________________________
"The world is wet with tears," as we see * "but ... the remedy is at our doors." All who can must help the body of the world to "gain a head", and indeed, a heart!

FYI-- Below are excerpts from The Baha'i Approach explaining our non- congregational community and unity building efforts that are now being undertaken by those both "in" as well as "not in" the Baha'i faith, and are a gift we share for the healingof us all.

Unity-- The One Foremost Principle
Spirit is one by any name, and that's big in Baha'i -- their watchword, in fact, is unity. Unity and Community are foremost, avoiding the limitation and separation inherent in concepts of congregation. That's just the religious old- style stuff that goes against the human needs today, inciting the rebellion and defection of the thinkers of the world. Religious competition, proselyting or "converting" people, judgments of shame, superiority, coercion and more are against the Baha'i spirit. Work is worship and the will of Higher Power is that we engage in service for the entire community of humanity. A life of loving, selfless virtue and service is sought for unity and spiritual progress.
Remedies are given for all of us onearth and are not reserved for any one faith, believer, nation or affiliation. All can be a part and take a part in humanity's uplifting, evolving movement into unity and soul by any faith or none but Spirit as in love and kindliness and virtue. The Baha'i communities are open for all people to engage in the building of community, unity and the building of a better world.
